I asked people who actually work there.

Please tell me your main cargo handling duties.

Our main cargo is government-owned rice (government rice). This includes minimum access rice imported by Japan from overseas and domestically produced reserve rice. In addition, we play a role in supplying feed rice and other feed rice to compound feed factories. While specializing in rice, we are also expanding our business, taking advantage of our location near the compound feed industrial park and the Hachinohe Port container yard to handle feed grains, food products, and general merchandise.

What kind of characteristics do successful people possess?

We value individuals who are keenly aware of the situation on-site, can collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm solutions, and can solve problems quickly. Our team is comprised of passionate individuals who, while upholding our expertise in rice storage, are also eager to take on new challenges and expand into new business areas.

Are there any events or community involvement unique to this location?

We value activities rooted in the local community and deepen our connections with local residents through Hachinohe's proud traditional events. In winter, we enjoy watching the magnificent Hachinohe Enburi dance up close, forgetting the harsh cold and applauding with smiles on our faces, experiencing important events that mark the changing of the seasons. In summer, we participate in the Hachinohe Sansha Taisai, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, cheering on the magnificent floats of the local area, feeling the excitement of the festival firsthand and fostering bonds as members of the community.
We will continue to work alongside the community to help pass on Hachinohe's traditions to future generations.
