Please tell me your main cargo handling duties.
The Hamaoka branch has been transporting large, heavy items such as power plant equipment between Omaezaki Port and Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc.'s Hamaoka Nuclear Power Plant for over 50 years, since the construction of Unit 1 of the power plant.
Furthermore, since 2004, we have been handling container cargo at the Omaezaki Port International Container Terminal. In recent years, with the commencement of operations at the Omaezaki Port Biomass Power Plant, we have also started transporting biomass fuel, contributing to the development of Omaezaki Port.
What kind of characteristics do successful people possess?
Many employees have gained valuable work experience within the rigorous safety and quality control systems of the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Plant. Site supervisors who accurately understand customer requests and effectively implement and manage them on-site play a vital role. Furthermore, safety measures are implemented through meticulous planning and development, including risk assessments of construction procedures, work plans, and safety measures documents, resulting in a long history of accident-free operations.
Are there any events or community involvement unique to this location?
We contribute to the local community by participating in cleaning the Hamaoka Sand Dunes at the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Plant, cleaning the area around the power plant, and participating in road cleaning organized by the Shizuoka Prefectural Truck Association.
Furthermore, we hold a branch bowling tournament at the end of the fiscal year to help employees maintain their physical fitness, and we distribute blood pressure monitors to all employees to improve their health management.
