Features of the Moji Branch
Harmonizing with the townscape, it serves as a vital gateway connecting a century of tradition.
Our office is located in the Mojiko Retro district, overlooking the Kanmon Strait. Its charming appearance harmonizes with the nostalgic streetscape. As a logistics hub of Kanmon Port, which has flourished as a key point for maritime traffic since ancient times, our branch here has a history of over 100 years and is the third oldest branch to open, after Yokohama and Nagoya, making it a traditional and important base. While watching over the changing times, we will continue to support reliable logistics along with the memories of this port town.

I asked people who actually work there.
Please tell me your main cargo handling duties.
The main cargo handled at the Moji branch includes fresh produce such as bananas and pineapples, vegetables that require temperature control in temperature-controlled warehouses, as well as feed grains such as fishmeal and soybean meal, rice, steel raw materials, chemicals, automobiles and parts, biomass fuel, logs, and heavy and oversized cargo, handling a wide variety of goods. In addition, as a special type of cargo, we are the only branch in the Kamigumi group to handle the import of live breeding horses, handling everything from unloading from aircraft to transportation to quarantine barns, and fattening management at the quarantine barns.
What kind of characteristics do successful people possess?
At the Moji branch, proactive individuals are the ones who thrive. Although the Moji branch is small in scale, it handles a wide variety of cargo, so a broad range of knowledge is necessary. Therefore, it is necessary to actively gather, disseminate, and share information not only in specific fields but also in various other fields. In addition, since the Kanmon Port has a long history and it is difficult to secure new orders at the Kanmon Port, the ability to proactively conduct sales activities in areas other than the Kanmon Port (including outside the prefecture) is also necessary.
Are there any events or community involvement unique to this location?
We participate in mini-triathlon competitions held in the Mojiko area, which helps to strengthen the bonds among our employees. We also sponsor events held in Mojiko, such as the Mojiko Port Festival and the Kanmon Strait Fireworks Display, and strive to make Mojiko a vibrant place.
