I asked people who actually work there.
Please tell me your main cargo handling duties.
The Osaka branch handles a wide variety of cargo, but its main focus is on container terminal operations, food products, and fresh produce. The container terminals include the Nanko C-8 Terminal and the Yumeshima DICT Terminal, where it operates container ships on routes to China and Southeast Asia, and the KF Yard, where it handles ferry ships. Food customers include many large and medium-sized trading companies and food manufacturers, handling products such as imported rice (MA), SBS rice, exported rice (KR), wheat, buckwheat, cocoa beans, and sesame. Fresh produce mainly consists of citrus fruits, particularly oranges and grapefruits, but also includes bananas and tropical fruits. Additionally, the branch handles Buddhist altar flowers and vegetables.
What kind of characteristics do successful people possess?
At our Osaka branch, many employees actively contribute their ideas and work together regardless of age or experience. Our branch's strengths include its speed and well-organized structure. Furthermore, each individual has a strong safety awareness, and we support each other throughout our work.
Are there any events or community involvement unique to this location?
The Yumeshima area around Osaka Port is experiencing a surge in activity, following the successful conclusion of the Osaka-Kansai Expo in October 2025. With transportation infrastructure development and urban planning progressing, and the planned opening of an integrated resort (Osaka IR) in 2030, the entire region is brimming with energy.
