Sustainability is sowing the seeds for the future and a promise of growth.
I once worked alongside colleagues in the port industry, sweating away the sweat. That experience instilled in me the realization that corporate growth cannot be measured solely by numbers. Nurturing intangible values such as employee safety and happiness, and environmental considerations, is crucial. I believe this is the condition for a company to remain essential to society for a long time, and the most important "seed-sowing" for the future. Sustainability initiatives are not a cost; they underpin the realization of our medium-term management plan and long-term vision, and are the very foundation for solid growth that will allow us to walk alongside society for the next 100 years.
The value of "non-financial" factors culminates in tangible "corporate value."
Kamigumi's foundation lies in the "workplace." High-quality work that earns customer trust is born only when each individual working on-site is healthy in mind and body and can approach their work with pride. A thorough commitment to safety builds trust, consideration for the environment empowers us to meet the needs of the next generation, and investment in human resources generates ingenuity and innovation on-site. I firmly believe that sincerely refining these "non-financial" areas will, in turn, strengthen the company's fundamental capabilities and ultimately lead to a sustainable increase in corporate value. With this conviction, I will promote management with a long-term perspective.
To properly "deliver" the "real-world" experience of Earth to future generations.
To pass on a beautiful global environment to future generations without damaging it—this is the greatest responsibility we, as logistics operators, have to the future of transporting goods. Switching warehouse lighting to LEDs, electrifying forklifts, and converting the natural gift of sunlight into energy—these steady efforts not only reduce the environmental impact but also create a healthy and comfortable workplace for our employees. The road to decarbonization is not easy, but by pooling our wisdom with our customers and developing environmentally friendly logistics systems, we believe that our efforts will become a new "infrastructure" that will support the society of the future.
Embracing change and opening up "new possibilities" in logistics from the front lines.
In today's world, where social issues are becoming increasingly complex, the role required of logistics is constantly changing. However, change is not something to be feared, but rather an opportunity for us to evolve. We will sincerely accept the demands of society, and respond with wisdom and technology originating from the field, without being bound by conventional wisdom. In this way, we will further enrich the meaning of comprehensive logistics, which goes beyond simply transporting goods, and build a new form of logistics that solves the challenges of our customers and society. Transforming the "power of the field" into a force that changes the future. We promise to continue contributing to the realization of a sustainable society by "standing close to and connecting with" all our stakeholders, and becoming a new force.
